SHAH ALAM: A resident expressed concern about a damaged signage at the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters in Section 9 here.

The police signage adorned with a roof has seen its tiles slipping off.

Ismail Mat Said said the damaged signage was not only an eyesore, it also threatened safety, especially of pedestrians.

“I saw the signage on Wednesday. This situation should not have happened, what more in front of the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters.”

Ismail said he noticed the condition of the roof had worsened, probably due to the rainy season.

He hoped the authorities would fix the damaged signage immediately.

ACTIONLINE:

A spokesman from the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters said the incident was due to bad weather.

“A fallen tree damaged the signage during a storm a couple of days ago. Action has been taken to repair the signage by this month.

“Thanks for highlighting the problem. We appreciate the feedback,” he said.
