The Lorong Delima 4 road sign, in Island Glades, George Town, cannot be read. PIC BY MIKAIL ONG

VISITORS to residences in Lorong Delima 4, near Island Glades, George Town, are having a tough time locating the road due to a severely worn-out sign.

The problem has caused a delay in delivery of items and confusion for e-hailing services, as most miss the sign.

A resident, who declined to be named, claimed that the sign lost its readability about two months ago.

He said maintenance work in the area was usually divided between the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) and the Public Works Department (PWD).

“PWD and MBPP should repair the sign, and find out if other signs are also worn out.”

ACTIONLINE:

An MBPP spokesman assured residents that the city council would work with PWD to rectify the matter.

“We are looking at each report (on the issue). Rest assured that we will work with PWD to replace the sign and others that are also worn out.”

Anyone with complaints can visit http://aduan.mbpp.gov.my/ and are assured of a prompt response.
